Folks,

I have just had a call from Warsash to say that the forecast for this
weekend is for gale force winds and heavy rain. In light of this, they
have decided that it is not worth trying to run the Open meeting.

I'm somewhat surprised they have decided already on this, but it seems
to be a definitive decision by the Club, and they do not seem willing to
reconsider. I get the impression it might be a liability thing, as they
were referring back to a marginal weather open they ran earlier this
year and how this had raised concerns, as it just followed that Dart
wipeout at another club...

Anyway, it seems to be a fait accompli. Please let anyone you know who
was thinking of going (frankly, I'm not sure how many there were anyway)
know of this.
