Hello everyone,
A member, Dr. Jackson, from the DACOWITS (Defense Advisory Council On Women
In The Service) committee will be visiting CG Island on 28 June. Dr.
Jackson is interest in talking to women and men about women's issues and
general issues about being in the service. I must point out that DACOWITS
was originally formed to address women's issues but as time has gone by it
has evolved into addressing general military member issues as well. This is
not an inspection or an investigation into happenings on CGI. As a DACOWITS
member she is required to visit a military installation once a year at her
cost. During the visit she is interested in getting honest feedback on
whatever people want to say. Each of the discussion groups will be
comprised of 12-15 members and will last about 45 minutes, your group will
meet at 1215. If your are interested please sign up with the below link,
there is also an 18 minute video that LCDR Boyd (X5353) has that I highly
recommend. The video tells you about the history of DACOWITS and their many
successes. If I have left any of the subject women at ISCA out of the "To"
