As always - some great development thoughts and ideas are appearing on the mailing list.
Indeed, at the last two World Council Meetings we generally agreed that we need a 'worldwide technical group'. As I understand it, the idea seems to be that it should be looking into the stuff that's being discussed here. On behalf of us all and on an on-going basis.
Sadly we haven't organised such a body yet. The discussion thrown up by the original 'developments' message, however, shows how much interest there is...
I think that if we don't get on with it now, we're in danger of repeating the 'big/infrequent' method of development which all agreed was a bad idea. After our last change the feeling at the World Council meeting was that 'little/often' was far preferable.
If you think about it, today we are probably 2 years away from any rule change given the trialling/debate/refinement/worldwide vote required before it happens.
Any thoughts on this?
