The only other "issue" with Lake Cachuma, and it isn't really an issue
Is that you MUST have current registration stickers on your boat in the Dept of Boating and Waterways required locations. On the boom ain't good enough. If you don't want stickers on your boat, get some clear mylar to hold the stickers, and tape them to the hull with clear tape. Not legal, but the eagle eyes at the entrance booth most likely will not catch you.
Cool things about Lake Cachuma.
Casa La Boehm
Cheap Camping
Solvang (?)
Big wind
Warm air
flat water
challenging tactics and race course when the "triangle" is set. Think of a tight reach, followed by a tighter reach and more breeze after the jibe, with a peninsula as a leeward obstacle, turning into a mostly straight run with dying breeze.
