I don't have the mail in question but maybe better info than that. I'm
currently crewing for Paul Bieker and had a good look at the latest boat
he made. In summer Paul built a Bieker 2 with modified frames. He
basically pushed the sides in a bit and put carbon (instead of aluminum)
racks on the boat. The racks are also higher up to get them out of the
spray going down wind. He called that boat B2z since it was custom made
for Zach Berkowitz. This might be the one you were referring to. In the
meantime he designed a new boat - that would be the Bieker 3. I think
there are two B3s being built in Oz and some 5 on the east coast. Paul
built one and its on the way to the worlds now. The B3 has a bit less
rocker, rounder cross section, narrower wide point and a little wider in
the stern. The differences to the B2 are subtle. The racks are similar to
the B2z. Very light and holy crap that thing is stiff.
Paul is also on this list but I've never seen him post so I thought I'd do
some.
Anything else?
Later,
R!
