SPECTATOR BOATS
We are attempting to have on hand an adequate number of spectator
vessels for family and friends of sailors. Demand will be high and
supply limited. One matter that has come to light as significant and for
which we need your assistance is life jackets.
State law requires that each vessel carry one life jacket or PFD for
each person on board. So if you have a friend or relative coming who
will wish to board a spectator boat... bring a life jacket...
Children between 1 - 10 require a PFD1. Their is a shortage of these
around...please bring one for your child... at least the children you
know you have!
Children under 1yo .... Don't seem to exist under our state law.
