    Notice of RegattaoJuly 6, 2003

    SUMMER DINGHY 2003

    INVITATION: The Richmond Yacht Club invites I/Cis, 29eris, I/14is, Bytes,
    Lasers, Thistles, and Lightnings to the 2003 Dinghy Series to be held in the
    challenging breezes and waves of San Francisco Bay. The Laser fleet is
    hosting. In order to receive a separate start, a fleet must have 3 eligible
    boats, otherwise they will sail in the Open Class.
    SITE: The regatta will be hosted by the participating fleets from Richmond
    Yacht Club (RYC), 351 Brickyard Cove Road, Point Richmond, California.
    Racing will take place on San Francisco Bay at one of the venues
    conveniently located a short sail from the Club: Southhampton or Keller
    Cove.
    RULES: The Regatta will be governed by the 2001-2004 Racing Rules of Sailing
    (RRS), and this Notice of Race, except as any of these are modified by the
    Sailing Instructions. This is a Category "A" event.
    COURSES: There will be various combinations of the Windward-Leeward,
    Triangle-Windward-Leeward, and Triangle courses.
    SCHEDULE: Beginning the 3rd Sunday of April (20th), and continuing each 1st
    and 3rd Sunday thereafter until September 21st. Skipperis meeting will be
    at 11:30 A.M. Warning for first race will be at 1 P.M. There will be three
    or more consecutive races, up to a limit of six.
    SCORING: The order of finishes will be made available. Series scores are
    the responsibility of the fleets.
    ENTRY and FEES: The entry fee will be $10 for RYC members and $15 for
    non-members. All competitors must have completed an entry form, have signed
    a Waiver and Release of Liability, and have paid all event fees before
    beginning official competition.
    PROTESTS: Prior to request for hearing, disputants are requested to
    arbitrate their conflict. Failing an arbitrated resolution, Protests will
    be heard by a mutually agreed upon 3rd party. Hearings will be open to the
    Public.
