Can I remind you all that this coming Saturday (25th May) there is an open meeting at Upper Thames Sailing Club. This is a rare chance for you to take in a charming and friendly location (with several good beers in the bar) whilst having the opportunity of doing some tacking practice. There are two pots on offer for one days sailing against some boats that were made in the 1930's. Chicken????

If you feel concerned that you can't sail because you have a dagger board and a fixed rudder then please worry not. Three boats that sail regularly on this stretch of river have both dagger boards and fixed rudders and we will be only too happy to point out where the shallows are!

If 15 Thames 'A' Raters can sail there for a week for their world championships then there is no reason why some of the more modern 14's can't come along. At least you don't have a 50ft mast and a 20ft waterline.

This meeting is NOT limited to Classic and Vintage craft.
You are ALL invited. Please come and support the parents and grandparents of the 14 class!!

If you require any further information then please contact me at
ralf-garland@beeb.net (eves) or garlandr@dionecorp.com (day).

Many thanks,

Ralf Garland Vintage/Classic 14 sailor.
