Bieker does charge a royalty for T foils of $100 of his design...if you
dont use his foils then they may not be as fast.....then you can spend a lot
trying different options.
The big issue is both cost and ease of handling. There will be plenty of
tail enders who will not be bothered using a T foil...so will be left
further behind.

We are trying to get new sailors in the class....I am sure T foils will not
help when they see there complexity ( and additional cost).

Who cares if we are not as fast as a 49er...we dont race against them
anyway.

The number one priority of the class should be to attract as many new
members as possible
