<p><p>Dear Skiff-Drivers, we hope you had a nice winter and are now ready to start the new skiff-racing season at the 2002 Skiff Pro Tour!
Attached you find the new forms for registration: application form for the starting licences, which has to be filled in of everybody who wants to start at the 2002 Skiff Pro Tour. Additional to this you find the entry form for the respective rounds.
Here are the actual dates of the 2002 Skiff Pro Tour: 16.-19.5.02 Sicily Grand Prix, Mondello/Palermo, Italy 19.-21.7.02 German Grand Prix, Travemuende, Germany 23.-25.8.02 Italy Grand Prix, Lago di Garda, Italy 12.-15.9.02 Portuguese Grand Prix, to be confirmed, Portugal
Please fill in directly at the form or print them and fax them to us. The first round starts at sunny Sicily, 16.-19.5.2002. For the Sicily Grand Prix during the Albaria Windsurf World Festival in Mondello/Palermo we can offer you 20 free spaces on the ferry from Genua to Palermo and back. Further tickets for the ferry can be arranged
Ferry is planed like following: Departure Genua 11.05.2002 11pm check-in app. 8pm – arrival Palermo 12.05.02 7pm Departure Genua 14.05.2002 9pm check-in app. 6pm - arrival Palermo 15.05.02 5pm Departure Palermo 20.05.2002 9pm check-in app. 6pm - arrival Genoa 21.05.02 5pm (arrangements for the participating teams will be made)
Provisional program: Race office opens 15.5.2002 3:00pm Timelimit for sailbranding 16.5.2002 9:30am Practice-race 15.5.2002 1:00pm First possibility to start 16.5.2002 2pm Last possibility to start 19.5.2002 5pm
After your registration there will be more information for you concerning the ferry transport, tickets and so on.
There will not only be the Skiff Pro Tour showing action, e.g. the Mistral Windsurf Cup and the International Beachvolley Challenge will also attract many spectators. Each evening at 9pm live concerts at the beach and from 12pm on disco and party until the Sicilian sun rises again …
Pricegiving ceremony Sunday 19.5.2002 in the evening between 6 and 7 pm on stage. Checkout further information on the official board.
