UK: a couple of informal events that may be of interest

For UK sailors:

The Association have been passed details of a couple of events/series
that, although not part of the official 14 calendar, may be of interest
for some:

1) Saturday winter sailing at Bristol Corinthian, Axbridge, near Cheddar
- 2 races each day, first start 13:00, on Saturdays January 15th (i.e.
last Saturday!) to February 19th inclusive. Running a 'fast handicap'
class, inviting more assymetrics. May be of interest for our West

2) Mounts Bay will be running evening racing during their 'Family
Sailing Week' of 12th-18th (Mon-Fri) August, followed by their (daytime)
club regatta on Saturday 19th. Evening 'relaxed club-level' handicap
races start at 18:30, allowing the day to be for 'family' activities. 2
races and BBQ on the 19th. They've written to invite the 14's:
- "darling, would you mind if I took the boat on our holiday to
Cornwall, just in case I get the chance for a sail?"
- [some months later, on holiday in Cornwall] "darling, you'll never
guess what I just found out, but Mounts Bay are running an evening
series this week and my crew happens to be staying in a campsite just
down the coastO."
